2. Cut the chicken breasts in half to make two pieces.

4. Add in the cold water and stir until combined.
5. Dip the chicken pieces into the batter and coat well.
6. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.
7. Carefully place the chicken into the hot oil and fry for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
8. Remove the chicken from the oil and place onto a paper towel to drain.

10. Spread mayonnaise on both halves of the bun.
11. Add lettuce and tomato to the bottom bun.
12. Place the chicken on top of the lettuce and tomato.
13. Add hot sauce on top of the chicken if desired.
14. Place the top bun on the chicken and serve.
