Steak is a beloved meat around the world, and for good reason. However, cooking a perfect steak can be a challenge. That’s where the Instant Pot Herbed Garlic Butter Beef Steak comes in handy. For this recipe, you will need:
- 1 pound of beef steak (New York strip)
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried rosemary
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
Instructions:
1. First, season your beef steak with salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, dried thyme, and dried rosemary on both sides.
2. Turn on your Instant Pot and press the “Saute” function. Add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil into the pot and wait for it to heat up.
3. Once it’s heated up, put your beef steak in the pot and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until it becomes brown.
4. Remove the beef steak from the pot and set aside.
5. In the same pot, add unsalted butter and minced garlic. Stir until it’s melted and fragrant.
6. Put the steak back in the pot and close the lid of the Instant Pot. Cook it for 5-7 minutes under high pressure.
7. Once done, release the pressure and open the lid.
8. Take out the steak from the pot and set it on a cutting board for 5 minutes.
9. Cut into thin slices and serve with the garlic butter sauce from the pot.
