- 4 chicken drumsticks
- 1 cup of plain flour
- 1 tbsp. smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp. garlic powder
- 1 tbsp. onion powder
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 1 tbsp. black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 ½ cups of breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
- Debone chicken drumsticks.
- Preheat oil in your frying pan, about 350°F – 375°F.
- Mix flour, spices, salt and pepper in a medium-sized bowl.
- Beat the egg in another bowl.
- In another bowl or dish, add the breadcrumbs.
- Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel, then coat it in the flour mixture, shaking off the excess.
- Dip the chicken into the egg wash, then roll it into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it’s well coated.
- Carefully place the chicken into the frying pan and cook until golden brown, 5-7 minutes, flipping once halfway through.
- Remove cooked chicken from oil, let it sit on a paper towel to drain oil.
- Toast your favorite burger buns and assemble your burger using lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise for extra creaminess with the crispy texture of the chicken.
